I have absolutely no idea in the world how you could do a endo on a 700 lb motorcycle... In fact I challenge someone to make an endo occur you can just get the rear wheel to rise up day s foot or two on your fjr ... Not possible .... Number two if you're scared to hit your brakes on your FJR you should go sit in your living room and stop riding

hi been bashing my head against a brick wall on my honda deauville (nt700 accross the pond), typically this went off when i went to sell the thing. Ive so far changed sensors, cleaned all connections, new battery and i was ready to take a real big bath on the price. Thankyou so much i realised only a few months ago i noticed the brake was slow to return so this must be the fault. Big thumbs up from the uk!!

Not good technique to just pull the clutch in and click down from top gear to first when pulling up to the lights like you were doing.

IV been in your position about 2 Mths ago mate only I had to leave my bike overnight and luckily I got a taxi home and returned the next day when my bike was taken away by truck my problem was an ignition switch issue it's finally been fixed the bike shop said I'm practically up for a new battery I'll try get it done next pay day I can't afford to be stranded again over something that I'm just to lazy to attend to stay safe and upright all the very best luck going forward

You are right, this both an inspection as well as a lubrication. However, I would hope that by annually lubricating through a nipple the wear'n'tear would be reduced to such an extend that the inspection is only needed every 32'000 miles or so...

Right on again. My Ducati monster 796 surprised me when I first got it. Very powerful brakes, my rear brake was useless as the rear wheel was always up or floating. It just needs two fingers for standard braking.

So if you back the locking nut nearest the engine - further up the cable - away from end of cable - and then lock it off then the clutch grab point is closer to the handle bar ?

No real information here.... No process of actually doing the brake flush. It would be great to know where to buy (and what type of (pumping tool) used in the video.

Anyone have any updates on LED bulbs? I have a 14 with one headlight out so going to replace both of them. I was thinking either LEDs if there are some good ones out there or just stock H4 lights and mount aux LED lights to give a different color and two extra lights for visibility by the cages wanting to turn left in front of me.

Know that the fork's full travel end at the bottom is not all the way down to the very bottom of the inner tube's mating line at the outer housing. The end of its bottom travel will be a few mm's above the very bottom. This is in part so the seal does not ever slam into the bottom housing of the fork's outer black lower part on the bike you are showing. On one of my bikes this gap is 7 mm that the fork can never go down to. So it's full travel range stops at the bottom 7 mm above the fork's bottom foot. This can be determined by raising the front of the bilke so the wheel(s) are off the ground. Then the forks will be fully extended so you can now measuring from the fork seal all the way down to the out black part at the bottom. This measurement will be slightly longer than the full fork, wheel travel listed in the manual. The difference is the never used length of the inner fork. Also for springs as in the fork preload you start counting it fully up. Meaning #0 position is fully out upwards. Then to add tension, preload you turn down, clock wise, CW, inward. This is the opposite to counting the position for compression and rebound. Most manuals with describe this. Most amateurs do this wrong.

Hi Bryan. I know this is an older video, however, I am now switching to LEDs on my FJR. Dumb thought, but it really looks like the headlight bulb is accessible from beneath by the front wheel. Have you tried that? I am going to when I get my new bulbs. Great videos.

I own an ride an 06 FJR Yamaha it's got 165kms on the clock my only problem has been having 2 replace the ignition switch the barrel where the key 🗝️ 🔐 fits has worn-out it happened 2 weeks ago the bike was picked up by van and is fixed and ready to be picked up it wasn't cheap to fix i Really love my motorcycle luckily to get around to commute iv also got a small Honda CB 125E which is also a great little bike and very very cheap to run stay safe and upright
